Spend more time doing what you love

I work with small businesses and organizations to reduce their administrative burden and allow them to focus more on the important work they do.  My passions are Farms and Food (more details), though I encourage any organization to contact me. The section below provides some examples of the types of services I offer. I recognize that your organization is unique and probably doesn’t fit neatly into these boxes. Since what I offer is highly customizable, I welcome conversations to explore what your goals are and where I might be able to help. Theresa’s Approach

My dream is to build sustainable relationships with my clients, to be invested in mutual success based on the bigger picture, and to provide value and be financially viable for all parties.

Center Your Goals

My first priority when working with new clients is to learn about your goals and make sure what I offer is beneficial.  I am happy to do this in-person, over email and/or zoom call.

Respect Your Budget

Provide a statement of work indicating maximum cost at my current rate of $75/hour.

Ensure Ongoing Success

Include the support needed to set your business up for success (e.g. training, documentation) in the statement of work. Be available for questions even after the statement of work is complete.

Adaptable

I adapt to your business’s unique needs and your working style.

Feedback is a Gift

I also welcome feedback/constructive criticism, since it allows me to improve on these offerings.

Affordability

Affordability is important to me and I am looking for ways to offer a reduced rate (or free!) services in the future. Let me know if you would like to be contacted if that is an option.

Recommendations

You know how when you work with some people, they make everything smoother? That’s Theresa. She always prepared an agenda, she always caught the details I forgot to include, and she rolled up her sleeves to get the nitty gritty details expertly handled. Her efforts made it possible for us to provide a workshop for farmers during their off-season, but during my busiest season! She was so understanding of my challenges and delays; and always worked collaboratively to find the best strategies and solutions. Truly a project manager extraordinaire!

Focus on Farms and Food

I am inspired by farms and food businesses that nourish people and the land.  I am concerned by all the challenges they face.  I would love to use my skills to help them spend less on administrative tasks and more time on the important work they do.  Given this I have been building my knowledge of farming since winter 2023, including the following:

  • Completed UW’s Urban Farm class
  • Completed WSU’s Cultivating Success: Whole Farm Planning and Agricultural Entrepreneurship and Business Planning
  • Over 60 hours volunteering on farms (including UW Farm and Beacon Food Forest)
  • Volunteered weekly at the Delridge Farmers Market from August 2024-Oct 2024

Finally I really enjoy farmers markets and farm tours. I love connecting with the people who contribute to my food. I love trying new varieties of produce and value added products.
